One Sunday afternoon, my friend and I stumbled on this place, little did we know it was a Palace. Akasaka Palace is one of the State Guest houses of the Government of Japan. It was build around 1909 for Crown Prince Daijo Tenno. This palace is considered a National Treasure of Japan.

The entrance free is 300 YEN for the garden viewing. If you want to see the inside of the Palace, you need to book for an appointment. Overall it was a huge palace and better to visit around 3 PM to enjoy the natural light while having a cup of coffee (there's a coffee truck with chairs) and enjoying the beautiful front view of the palace.

Nearest station: Yotsuya Station
